Lantmännen digitalizes field service organization using solution from PocketMobile

Lantmännen has selected Trimble smartdelivery to digitalize its service flows and streamline its service processes. The new tool enables their field service engineers to work in a new and more modern way and Lantmännen’s construction equipment customers will benefit from enhanced service quality.

The goal of the project is to establish a new way of working for Lantmännen’s field service engineers. By using the new mobile solution, the field service engineer will be able to access important information from anywhere. This will increase the field service engineers’ efficiency and flexibility, and all information collected in the field will be instantly available to the organization. It means that the field engineer will be even more mobile and always have access to up-to-date information. Lantmännen’s subsidiary Swecon, which resells Volvo construction equipment in Sweden, Germany and the Baltic region , will be the first organization to use the solution

Lantmännen and Trimble smartdelivery foresee that the implementation of this solution will optimize regional and central resource planning, provide a more efficient administration of service tasks and create a completely digitalized service order flow. High-class service and support is becoming more and more important for customers purchasing large, business-critical construction equipment. The purpose is that Lantmännen and Swecon’s customers will enjoy improved service quality and an enhanced customer experience.

The technical solution is based on the intelligent mobile workflow product Trimble smartdelivery. An enterprise-class, client-server based mobility platform with functional libraries for field service organizations. It provides the field service engineer the means to access and deposit information from several different back-end systems when he or she is working in the field. For example, the field service engineer will be able to retrieve information on the order, the equipment and the customer, as well as submit instant time reports.

The solution is implemented and customized by Trimble smartdelivery’s experienced implementation and development partner Key2Mobility, in close collaboration with Lantmännen.
